Look into the interplay of the (at least) 4 pools of DNA/RNA in our body:
1. Human cell nuclei
2. Mitocondria
3. Microbiome
4. Virome
Once understood, the triggers and causes for epigentic alterations will become clear. An approach based on observing just the human genome may not provide the answers.
