For quite some time now I have been looking for a term that will displace Healthcare as a term for describing the management of healthy long life. For me Healthcare is associated with treating sick people, rather than keeping people healthy. It is a reactive rather than proactive system.
Yet, the future is in providing a sustainable proactive care for preserving health. Professionals seem to shy away from using the term "Wellness" for describing the various approaches for accomplishing healthier longevity.
I therefore suggest using the term Wellcare (at some point I even tried Wellthcare ) to denote a system that takes care of people's well-being.
